Front-end engineer (Team Wiki) | ERIKS Digital | A'dam
ERIKS Digital is looking for an experienced (medior/senior) Front-end engineer for our Wiki team!
We are working on five different propositions, building new digital solutions for our external customers and internal use. Most of the projects we build from scratch by exploring innovative technologies.
As our Front-end engineer you will join the Wiki scrum team. Wiki is a very innovative portal of a product knowledge base using graph database technology. It is fast paced, user driven, highly valued tool used by everyone in the company that wants to lookup, know, sell or show product information.
Your main focus will be: Internationalization, embedding more data sources and integration with other platforms. The platform is currently built in ReactJS with typescript and has GRANDstack as a framework.
It uses a GraphQL data platform on top of a Neo4J database. You will work closely together in a scrum team with the Product Owner, back-end developer, designers, QA engineer, and DevOps.
Furthermore, you will be working with the other Front-end colleagues of ERIKS digital. The Front-end discipline collaborates to contribute to a seamless customer journey cross product, tackle architectural challenges, and share knowledge and important learnings between the different product teams.
Job duties and responsibilities
Translate user stories into production grade React application
Define and make architectural choices that will lead to a smart and agile product
Build reusable components and Front-end libraries for future use
Overcome technical challenges within the Front-end architecture and align on the integrations with our back-end architect
Work with the UX team to incorporate customer feedback and create an easy to use and loveable product
Work on bugs and customer feedback in a way that makes our customers happy
We are looking for someone with:
>3 years of experience in working with React and related technologies
Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
Familiarity with RESTful APIs
Demonstrable ability to make no-nonsense architectures and software and work on integrations with the backend
Experienced in our preferred stack
o React with Create React App
o Redux with Sagas Workflows
o Styled Components
o Testing with Jest, React Testing Library, and Redux Saga Test Plan
The following is a plus, but not a hard requirement: (Experience in React-Native, Neo4J with Apollo/GraphQL and/or ElasticSearch 7.5.x.)
